This thread discusses the Content article: Super-prison threatens Hei Ling Chau In my point of view, the Hong Kong Government is extremely stupid and stubborn in insisting to build a Super Prison in Hei Ling Chau. I have the following points of views : – It’s difficult to maintain the security of such a large scale prison – It’s endanger the wild life in Hei Ling Island and the seas nearby – It’s a extreme waste of money especially when the budget of the government is still in red

Yes, stupid and stubborn seem the words for the govt regarding this project (and more besides, perhaps).
Some 218 people have signed petition here against the super prison; many adding pointed comments.
Not one person has emailed, or posted message in this forum, saying they believe the super prison is a good idea (legislator Raymond Ho and others likely don’t visit sites like this!)
