Join the Country Parks Appreciation Day on December 13:
Post a selfie or several in a park, tag with #SaveOurCountryParks
The Save Our Country Parks Alliance – which includes Hong Kong Outdoors – is calling on everyone to be counted in opposing the voices who seek the use of country parks for development and infrastructure.
Visit any country park on 13 December, and post a selfie photo or video tagged #SaveOurCountryParks on Instagram, your Facebook timeline, Twitter, WeChat, YouTube, …
Volunteers at entrances to most country parks will remind/help visitors take and post selfies on 13 December. They'll also be counting visitors to country parks, to indicate their popularity with Hong Kong people: these are "our" country parks, not for luxury housing development and profiteering.
While if you'd like to help from 8am to noon, contact [email protected] to find out which entrances could use volunteers.
[I'll probably be at Wanchai Gap in the morning, helping with "flagship" event for media, hopefully including realtime updates from around HK…]
For more details, please visit the Save Our Country Parks website or Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/saveourcountryparks/]; you could also "join" the Facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/events/1065625156805677/ .
Info too on the Hong Kong Outdoors Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HKOutdoors/
Hope you'll take part in some way, and have a great day!
Best regards,
Martin Williams
