      I am fascinated by the route you have described here and plan to organise a Sunday hiking trip for a group of students. Could you let me know how far is the trail you described and how long it would take from the Temple down to the main road.         Hi Frank: Glad this route appeals to you. The section of Lantau Trail around 4km, 1.25hrs says AFCD

        Can reach the trail in well under half an hour from Po Lin Monastery. Martin
