Accomodation for “round the world travellers”

Hello,

2 friends of mine will be coming to HK soon.
They are travelling around the world and are more used to guest houses than HK hotels (at least in terms of price) especially with October high price season coming up.

Would you have any advise of “Cheap – Affordable accomodation for about 1 week.

I was thinking about the tiny flats in Cheung Chau that people offer when we get down of ferries…

Any contact there ?
Any other advise ?

I live on Cheung Chau, so can perhaps help w contacts for flats.

Fung Wong Holiday Bungalows on Lantau a good place, but in Tong Fuk, so fairly remote; some info if you search this forum.
